Business, perseverance and the magic of words from a copywriter

Life is hard. You know that, I know that. God knows I know, I've had some of the hardest times imaginable. And you wonder, how will I ever overcome this obstacle, or how will I ever get over this hurdle - but you do. Every problem you've ever had, even the biggest one you think you've ever handled, you've overcome it, dealt with it, put it to bed. And so on to the next hurdle or obstacle that raises its head.

Life is like that. It presents one obstacle, you get over it, and then there's another one, and we, as humans, survive and endure and go on. We often create problems. I create my own all the time. I like to call them challenges, but these challenges present me with problems, obstacles, hurdles to be overcome. And when I feel like throwing the towel in, I ask myself, is all of this really worth it?



I started a business. That business is the lifeblood of what I do, it gives me the kind of freedom and flexilibity I never had when I worked a 9-5, but it also gives me problems, obstacles, hurdles. Each one is different, one problem is easy to overcome, another is like a millstone around my neck. Each problem I overcome, I give myself a pat on the back for having come through it, even with the easy ones, it's still an acheivement. And each step, each problem brings me nearer to my goal. That's what running a business is all about, it's about overcoming obstacles, finding solutions, climbing hurdles to get to your end goal.

If you're reading this and you run a business, then you'll know exactly what I mean. Perhaps up until now you've not found the words to express it, and that's okay, because not everyone uses words as well as they might use a painbrush or a camera better.

We all have a skill.

If you run a business and you want it to succeed however, you will need words, and not just any words. You'll need words that have been carefully crafted, so cleverly put together that they simply dance off the page. They'll should only dance off the page to those that matter, the people you're trying to reach, the kind of people who want what you're selling, giving or exchanging. Whatever it is, you have to reach those chosen few. It's like magic, but it isn't, it takes hard work, skill.

And if you don't have that skill, then that's an obstacle, a hurdle, a problem, or whatever you want to call it. But it doesn't have to be that way because my business is to help people just like you, so you can overcome your hurdle. And SELL and make MONEY. It doesn't get better than that does it?

When you run a business everything is on your terms, because whoever pays the piper plays the tune, and you'll be playing your own tune alright, that's the world of the entrepreneur. But there's always a problem to be overcome, but if you like, I'll be your piper and I'll play your tune, and write the words on the page, giving you the key that opens the gate, that leads to the customers.

And I love words. I love the rhythm and sound of them and I love making them work in different ways.

As a business owner I've had to overcome problems, I've had to persevere and I've had to think outside boxes, books and even my own head. But the one thing I know, the one thing I love is words, that's why I chose to manage a business where words are what I get paid to do.
